On July 4, 2023, the Council of Ministers approved the ¿Strategic Framework for Citizenship and Inclusion, against Racism and Xenophobia, 2023 ¿ 2027¿, a document to advance towards a cohesive, inclusive, diverse and fair society, which generate wealth, employment and development; and where there is no room for racism, xenophobia and intolerance.
The Strategic Framework complies with the commitment assumed by EU Member States to adopt national plans against racism before the end of 2022, and other commitments derived from European and international instruments for the integration of immigrants and the protection of Human Rights. .
The Strategic Framework updates the work begun with the previous ¿Strategic Plans for Citizenship and Integration¿ and with the ¿Comprehensive Strategy against racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and other related forms of intolerance¿, answering the changes, challenges and opportunities that arise in the current social and migration context.
